Karl Heider (Heider 1997) hat einen Einführungskurs in die „Cultural Anthropology“ entwickelt, der vornehmlich mit Film arbeitet.

Bei seinen Beispielfilmen konzentriert er sich auf 14 Kulturen:

Balinesen, Yanomamö, Japaner, Dani,!Kung San, Vietnamesen, Griechen, Nuer, Kpelle, Songhay, Trobriander, Khmer.
